Would you accept a microchip implant that would 100% protect your identity, location and money?

Scenario: In the not-too-distant future, governments and the United Nations begin encouraging people to accept a microchip implant for themselves, and for their children.
This microchip will assure 100% identification and will virtually eliminate the crimes of identity-theft, kidnapping, and theft of your money, as cash and credit cards will become a thing of the past.
Merchants, government agencies, police officers, emergency service workers will only need to scan YOU in order to obtain the information pertinent to their work. A merchant will automatically debit your account for a purchase, a police officer can identify you, and a paramedic can scan your medical information. If your child is kidnapped, they can be located by the authorities, and wanted criminals can be located or even shut out of the money and ID system by having their chips turned off.
Does this sound like a great idea to you? Would you accept this technology for the safety and security it offers?

The government to have that on the technology is something that sort of control over me the outside sounds great but quite frankly dont trust the outside sounds great but quite frankly dont trust the technology is too easily.
